This Tambopata Peru itinerary provides Peruvian adventurers with a truly spectacular cultural vacation. We will start your Peru vacation with a sightseeing tour of Lima's major attractions. We will continue our tour to Cusco, where you can view stone Incan architecture and cobblestone lanes that connect the city's places to colonial houses. Afterwards, we will visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where we will see a number of Incan sanctuaries and fortifications, as well as several charming settlements. Machu Picchu is likely to be a highlight of many tourists' holidays. The nicest part of our Machu Picchu tour is that we will be accompanied by a private, expert guide. Following our visit to Machu Picchu, our journey will lead us to the forest, where we will experience a spectacular display of fauna and stunning scenery that only Peru and the Tambopata jungle can deliver.
Day 1: Arrival to Lima – Perú
Arrive in Lima at any time. Our representative will be waiting for you outside holding a board with your name on it. Upon arrival assistance at the airport and transfer to the Hotel. Please allow a couple of hours to get settled in your hotel before your first tour starts.
At 14:00 we will pick you up at your hotel to begin your Traditional Lima City tour. We will start by visiting Waca Pucllana which was a ceremonial and administrative pre-Incan building.
Then we'll head downtown to view the Cathedral of Lima and Francisco Pizarro's tomb, as well as the catacombs of the Monastery of San Francisco, the National Congress, and the Torre Tagle Palace. We will then tour Lima's modern districts, San Isidro neighborhoods, and areas with great views of the Pacific Ocean.
After the tour will dropped you at your Hotel.

Day 2: Lima – Cusco
After a delicious breakfast in your Hotel, our team will pick you up and drive you to Lima International Airport, where you will board a one-hour and ten-minute flight to Cusco.
Upon your arrival to Cusco, our staff will welcome you and drive you to your selected Hotel.
We recommend booking a flight that has a time to spend a couple of hours acclimating before starting your activities and eat a light meal to help you acclimate.
At 13:00 pm our traditional Cusco City tour will start by picking you up at your Hotel lobby.
The first visit will be the Cathedral of Cusco, which contains numerous examples of exquisite architecture. Then we'll go to Qorikancha (The Temple of the Sun), the city's most spectacular Incan structure.
After, we will visit Sacsaywaman, Qenqo, Pukapukara, and Tambomachay, nearby ruins and examples of Incan architecture at its best.
Finishing this tour, we will drop you at your hotel or at the main square.

Day 3: The Incas' Sacred Valley – Machupicchu
Breakfast at your hotel, then we will pick you up between 8:00 am and 8:30 am, to start your day tour of Sacred Valley.
Our first stop will be in Pisaq, an incredible Incan archaeological site with spectacular terraced fields. Its crops include a large range of corn, kiwicha, and hundreds of different types of potatoes. Afterward, go down into the quaint little town and wander through its colorful market, where it can buy intricate, beautifully hand-crafted products.

We then travel to Ollantaytambo, a mountaintop Inca military, religious, and agricultural center. In contrast to other little settlements, this one has preserved its original Incan architecture, with stunning stone structures and twisting passageways.
Following the tour, we go to the Ollantaytambo railway station to board the train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed and transferred to the Hotel.

Day 4: Machupicchu – Cusco
Early Breakfast in the Hotel, then we will be picking you up at your hotel lobby to take the bus going to Machu Picchu.
The guided tour begins around 07:30 a.m., with the guide skillfully directing you through the spectacular ruins and main streets. Then stroll around the town squares and climb the elaborately carved stone stairways. According to esoteric understanding, Machu Picchu is the world's spiritual center. The guided tour lasts approximately two hours and thirty minutes.
After your visit to one of the Seven Wonders of the World, you will take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes for a great lunch in a nice restaurant.
Finally, you will begin your return journey to Cusco by train. When you arrive at the railway station, one of our representatives will be ready to take you to your accommodation in Cusco.

Day 5: Cusco – Puerto Maldonado
After your great breakfast at your hotel, our staff will escort you to Cusco International Airport where you will take a 45-minute flight to Puerto Maldonado.
When you arrive in Puerto Maldonado, Muyundi Travel will meet you and drive you to the dock where we will take a boat to the rainforest resort. We will be surrounded by stunning surroundings on the boat and see a truly spectacular show of wildlife.
When you arrive at the Lodge, you will be given a welcome drink before being given time to settle into your cottage. We'll then have lunch together.
A trained tour guide will lead us on an instructive trip down the Caimán Cocha, a well-marked path, in the afternoon. In the evening, we will see the stunning Amazon sunset, a sensory overload of hues. When you return to the lodge, a wonderful dinner will be prepared for you before you retire for the night.

Day 6: Tambopata national reserve
First, enjoy a delicious breakfast in your magnificent lodge since you are about to embark on a fantastic excursion through the Virgin Forest with an expert, local guide. We will then visit the magnificent Lake Apu Victor, which is surrounded by marshes and towering trees and has crystal-clear waters.
Following that, we will go to an observation platform to enjoy a panoramic view of the lake. We will be able to see parrots, macaws, toucans, camungos, shanshos, herons, and other wildlife such as caimans and turtles from this deck. We'll return to the lodge for lunch after a few hours.
In the afternoon, we will travel five minutes from the lodge to Monkey Island, a unique location in the midst of the Madre de Dios River. During the trip, we will see amazing landscapes with lush flora that are home to a variety of monkey species in their natural habitat. We will be able to spot maquisapas, capuchins, little lion monkeys, frailes, cotos, and other animal species such as coatis, sloths, and a wide range of birds.
Finally, we will end our trip to the island by watching the sunset and the most beautiful dusk in the jungle. We'll end the day with a delicious meal at the lodge.

Day 7: Puerto Maldonado - Lima
Depending on the weather, our guide will either lead us on an innovative activity in the morning or simply allow us to rest and enjoy the accommodations. After that, we'll head to Puerto Maldonado Airport so you can catch your trip. Our program will come to an end when you arrive at the airport.
